Sacred Heart Generalate

“Your desire must be to become the spouses of the meek and humble Sacred Heart of Jesus. For this you must learn well the example of Jesus from the manger to Calvary” (Life of the Founder). Our heritage is the simple and hard life of discipleship to Christ manifested in the above words of the Founder.
Unshakable trust in God, Prayer, incessant obedience, love of hard work, unconditional service, a poor and humble life, identifying with the poor, a behavior pattern that respects human values and availability in the undeveloped areas are the distinguishing characteristics of our heritage that manifests the identity of our Congregation. The Charism of the Congregation is ‘to glorify the Sacred Heart of Jesus and an insatiable thirst to transmit to others the compassionate love of the Heart.’

AIM AND SPIRIT

Never ending adoration, praise, thanksgiving and reparation are offered to the Heavenly Father through the Sacred Heart of Jesus from our Congregation. The life, love and compassion, we experience through the Sacred Heart flow into the orphaned, the destitute, the distressed, the ignorant and non- Christian brethren for our sanctification as well as theirs. Thus our aim is the consecration of our own self for the glorification of the Heavenly Father through our works and sufferings.

OUR INSPIRING MODELS

Our Lady, the co redeemer of Jesus Christ who surrendered to the will of God under every circumstance, St. Joseph who guarded and protected Jesus and the Virgin Mary, St. Margaret Mary Alacoque, who glorified the Sacred Heart of Jesus ceaselessly through her life of reparation and our saintly Founder and founding members who found the identity of their lives in the Sacred Heart imitating the Holy Family are our very inspiring models.

IDEAL AND MOTTO

To our call to the Sacred Heart Congregation for love, self giving and service, we respond through prayer, suffering and service. We accept “Snehaya Danaya Cha Rakshanaya” (Redemption through love and self giving) which reminds us of the self giving as our ideal and motto.
